Older youth employment program
Through an agricultural model, the older youth employment program is designed to offer young adults an opportunity to have their first job experience in a safe and supportive environment while at the same time exposing them to nutrition, health, and cooking. By creating opportunities for youth to gain skills in communication, leadership, and team building. They learn to be the kind of humans they want to be.
YMCA SNACKIN’ CLASS
We partner with the Shelton YMCA to offer an after-school Healthy Snacking Workshop for middle and junior high school students. We will be working on culinary literacy, basic skills in the kitchen, culturally-responsive recipes, and healthy eating. Participation is free!
