This has been a different kind of year and it is not over yet. Yet the growing season is soon upon us and there is work to do. We would love it if you would join us.  Of course we will still use produce for preparing snacks at the garden and of course you will still get to bring food home to your family, but  are going to continue to grow as much food as we can for donation to Community Lifeline, Saints Pantry and the free food hub. If you are interested in working outside, getting job experience, getting lots of exercise, eating good food, giving back to the community, earning a bit of money, and giving back to the Shelton community, come join us.

Crew members will have a chance to:

  • Take home good fresh food from the garden every week that the garden is producing

  • Take home flowers

  • Learn new skills

  • Earn valuable job skills and experience

  • Gain references for further job or college pursuits

  • Get lots of exercise and fresh air

  • Work hard

  • Make friends

  • Have fun

This season we will be working in at least three different garden locations: Evergreen Elementary, our Hospital Garden location, and the new Community Garden at Callanan Park. We will always tell you the day before where we will be meeting so you know where to go! :)
