Apple crisp

Ingredients:

·      5 medium apples cubed

·      1 cup rolled oats

·      ¾ cups brown sugar

·      ½ cup flour

·      ¼ teaspoon salt

·      ½ cup butter

·      ½ tablespoon cinnamon

·      1/8 teaspoon clove

·      A pinch of nutmeg

·      ½ tablespoon ginger (depending on how much kick you like)

 

Instructions:

1.     Preheat oven to 350°F

2.     Core and cube apples

3.     Combine oats, sugar, flour, salt, and spices. Arrange in shallow baking dish.

4.     Grate the butter into dry mixture. (Done best with a large gage cheese grater).

5.     Mix the butter into the dry mixture with your hands until it clumps up. Sprinkle on top of apple mixture. Cook for 35-40 min, serve hot.
