Mission of HOPE
HOPE, Hands-On Personal Empowerment, engages Mason County Youth to become empowered, productive members of their local community and the world they will inherit.
Vision full of HOPE
What We Do, We Do For the Future of Our Children and the Communities We Serve
At HOPE, we offer after school and summer programming to Mason County youth. Our programs center around vegetable gardening, healthy cooking, entrepreneurship and community engagement.
Every week, our crew members hone their knowledge of organic food production and learn how to cook meals that are affordable, healthy, & delicious. We work at the HOPE Garden on Mountain View Drive, across from Mason General Hospital, and serve students in the Shelton School District.
Crew members engage in regular workshops on leadership development, job skills, and positive communication tools. Our youth regularly support their community’s health through food demos and nutrition workshops.
